Nicola Lucas

Nicola is a creative content creator and writer and a qualified fashion and personal stylist. With over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry Nicola has always had a creative eye and a dedicated passion for style. After starting out as a design assistant in womenswear she decided to pursue her career in fashion by focusing on styling consequently she took a part time course at Central Saint Martins.  Nicola went on to build her own fashion credentials by assisting stylists and interning at magazines. She then moved into retail roles including personal styling whilst freelance writing in her spare time covering fashion events and trend stories.  After roles in fashion marketing and copywriting, Nicola managed editorial content for the Inspire Me section of the F&F website at Tesco where she pitched and executed editorial features, briefed creative agencies with casting and styling guidance.

 

In 2014 although Nicola left full-time work to have her first baby she did not stop pursuing her love of fashion and so started her own vintage business by opening a boutique with marketplace site Etsy. Also she began a fashion and lifestyle blog where she continued her passion for writing and styling. Nicola’s belief that good style should reflect personality and increase confidence lead her to furthering her stylist knowledge. In achieving a Diploma of Professional Styling from the British College of Professional Styling she gained the tools to advise and support others in finding their own style. She believes that a positive impact towards being assured & happy can be made by putting together outfits that consider personality and lifestyle.

 

After the birth of her second baby in 2018 Nicola wanted to develop her styling skills further and gain more extensive experience consequently she joined the styling team at Try Tuesday, the online styling platform for M&S. Nicola is now a freelance personal stylist and writer.
